“This is a great day for the students of Beachcroft and I am very pleased your Ward Councillors could assist in this way”
A new school bus paid for by the Abbey Road Ward Councillors budget was handed to Beachcroft School last week by Councillor Lindsey Hall.
This is the first bus for the new school on Finchley Road and will give students the chance to travel to events, visit the countryside and take part in more of the wonderful things London has to offer.
“This is a great day for the students of Beachcroft and I am very pleased your Ward Councillors could assist in this way.”
Beachcroft School is a pupil referral unit and provides the majority of services to children and young people who for various reasons are not able to attend mainstream school.
Abbey Road Councillor Lindsey Hall formally opened the new school earlier in the year, a state of the art facility on Finchley Road, NW8, and a big improvement on its previous location on Shirland Road.
Lindsey, who is the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Westminster North said. “This school is a great investment by Westminster City Council and results are already being seen in the good GCSE results students achieved last summer. The staff, students and parents should be commended for helping to change the outcome of some of our most challenging children.”
