I live and work as a dentist in Marylebone. I have represented residents on various issues from excessive developments to health needs since being elected in May 2013. I am chairman of a council task group looking at solutions to the obesity pandemic and I also scrutinise policy on the children and community services committee. While going to All Souls Church, I have developed a partnership with the Metropolitan Police which tackles anti-social issues in this part of Westminster.
Cllr Karen Scarborough
I live bordering Marylebone with my family. I have a legal and business background and have helped resolve community issues, balancing the needs of local residents and businesses for the Hyde Park Estate Association, including concert noise levels in the Park. I volunteer for the homeless charity Crisis and recently organised a ‘sleepout’ in Marylebone for West London Day Mission. I have a longstanding affection for Marylebone and am dedicated to addressing any challenges ahead.
Cllr Ian Rowley
I have lived in Marylebone High Street Ward for 23 years and have represented its residents on the Council since 2007, where my activities have covered crime and disorder, housing, financial, commercial and strategic matters. Most recently I have led two task groups looking at problems of party drugs and violence against prostitutes in Westminster. My professional back ground is in investment management. I can often be seen being walked by my Italian greyhound in the Ward.
Maintain the area's unique character in the face of the transformational major property developments that are taking place, the traffic changes proposed for Baker St and Gloucester Place and the impact of the arrival of Cross Rail. We will ensure that residents voices are not lost in all these changes.
We will strengthen our commitment to increase the greening of the Ward, including the planting of more trees.
We will ensure that bar and restaurant licence terms are abided by and enforced.
