In voting for this budget we have helped to keep your hard earned money in your pocket by freezing council tax for the seventh year in a row. We are freezing council tax for the next two years and ensuring that Westminster has the lowest council tax in the country.
The budget does far more than this. It will underpin our shared commitment to making Westminster a Better City and creating Better Lives for you and your family.
This budget will invest over £15 million in building schemes and council sports facilities.
The budget set out our ambitions to create the first of over 1,000 new jobs through our flagship Housing Renewal programme. We will deliver employment and skills opportunities for residents.
We will retain our tough approach to crime and anti-social behaviour. We will continue our work to reduce gang violence, which blights too many of our communities.
We have made sure that money and time goes into creating a cleaner, safer London, both for residents who live here and the millions of people who come to visit our great city.
We will ensure that there is a position available in education, employment or training for every young person who has completed their GCSEs.
This budget is forward-thinking and ambitious, for a vibrant Westminster still facing challenging times ahead.
Look out for more information later this spring, when we will share our Conservative manifesto for Westminster."
