52 out of Westminster’s 56 schools (including nursery, primary, secondary, special and pupil referral units) are now rated as either ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’. Data published by the Department for Education has confirmed that Westminster’s secondary schools have topped that national league table for school attendance during the autumn and spring terms 2012-2013.
This continues from the same result for the summer term in 2011-2012. Further the Higher Education Funding Council for England has confirmed that the Cities of London and Westminster constituency is ranked joint third nationally for the percentage of young people going onto higher education.
Cllr Danny Chalkley said: "These are brilliant achievements for our schools and show the importance for Westminster Council of providing an excellent education for all our young people."
