Bayswater Councillors provide Heathrow update

Councils given powers to block new phone boxes

Westminster already has about 1,000 phone boxes and last year conducted a survey into those around Oxford Street and Marble Arch, finding many neglected, out of service and/or disused.

Baker Street two way goes live

The Baker Street Two Way Scheme went live on Sunday 24th February. Councillors with past and present members of the Marylebone Association and St Marylebone Society gathered to watch traffic flow northwards along Baker Street for the first time in many decades. 

#MyWestminster Fund Update

We have just learnt that the third round of the #MyWestminster Fund is now open. Local groups can apply for up to £10,000 for community projects promoting the environment, neighbourhoods, young people and community cohesion in Westminster.

Repairing pavements in Regent's Park

There are 353 miles of pavements/footways within the Borough of Westminster all of which need to be maintained and kept in proper order to ensure pedestrians can walk safely. 

Seminar held for EU Citizens

We believe that the contribution to our City made by the thousands of EU nationals who live in Westminster deserves our recognition and support. The City Council has launched a number of measures to help EU citizens feel certain that Westminster can remain their long-term home after Brexit.
