New Community Protection Zone

A new Community Protection Zone has just gone live on and around Queensway and Inverness Terrace to help police tackle the sharp increase in antisocial behaviour there during lockdown, and ban persistent troublemakers from the area.

Many of our local businesses have had to make significant changes in the way they trade during the COVID-19 crisis. We have seen restaurants turn to takeaway and delivery, pubs turning to wine shops and the rise of "farm shops" which sell high-quality local produce.

75th Anniversary of VE Day

This week, the Union Flag will fly outside Westminster City Hall to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day on Friday.

Refurbishment of Laptops, and Family-Activity Packs

The Conservative-controlled Westminster City Council has arranged for the refurbishment of two hundred decommissioned Council laptops. The laptops have been distributed to help vulnerable families hitherto without computers.

Warwick Avenue Canal Bridge Refurbishment

We are pleased to report that the two sides of the bridge on Warwick Avenue over the canal have both been repaired and are now been repainted. Significant structural repairs were needed following a vehicle damaging the bridge and this has now been completed.
