Our Labour Mayor continues to reduce vital bus services in the Little Venice area. Last year, Mr Khan reduced the 414 route between Marble Arch and Maida Vale.
This was despite the overwhelming numbers consulted opposing this change. This followed his previous decision to reduce Route 46 between Paddington station, Eastbourne Terrace and Lancaster Gate station. These changes were very detrimental for Little Venice Residents. The latest proposal is to scrap route 16 that runs along Maida Vale/Edgware Road to Victoria Bus Station.
This will be another very significant loss to residents of Little Venice Ward who hugely rely on this service. It is also proposed to reduce further the frequency of the 414 service.
This is all despite the Mayor being given £5BN of taxpayer’s money to support transport in London. These reductions are not necessary and can and should be avoided by the Labour Mayor.
We will oppose these reductions, but let us know what you think at littlevenice@westminsterconservatives.com we would also urge you to respond to the mayoral consultation here.
