Regent's Canal

Thanks to your local ward Councillors; anyone walking along the Regent’s Canal will notice the Lisson Grove tunnel and stairs has finally been reopened!

The access leading from the towpath to Abercorn Place had been closed for many years on account of a leak of insulating oil and the danger of high voltage cables nearby.

Cllr Swaddle worked tirelessly with the Canals & Rivers Trust and, it was finally opened in time for the recent Canal Cavalcade. As Cllr Swaddle says, ‘It has taken a long time to get to this point, but I am delighted this important access point has finally been reopened for local residents and visitors to the area to enjoy.’
