St James Coronation Celebrations

To celebrate the King's and Queen's Coronation, six street parties took place in St. James's.

The Prime Minister hosted a party in Downing Street for volunteers, Ukrainian refugees, and youth group members along with special guest US First Lady Jill Biden.

Other venues included the new pedestrian street, Orchard Place, that passes through the new buildings at 10 Broadway and St. Paul's Church in Covent Garden.

Chinatown was the venue for two street parties in Newport Place.

On the afternoon of Coronation Day, the Chinese Information and Advice Centre's community lunch featured dance, music and Kung Fu.

On Sunday, people attending the London Chinatown Chinese Association Poon Choi lunch were treated to a programme of 16 performances, starting with a traditional Lion Dance.
