Stockley House

You may have noticed that work has finally started on Stockley house at the top of Wilton Road behind Victoria station.

The complicated scaffolding was completed just after Christmas and demolition is now underway.  They anticipate taking the building down to ground level by mid-May.

These works are taking place under their existing 2015 planning permission to replace the existing eight storey building with a 15 storey tower, with retail or restaurant premises at street level and residential flats above.

Whilst we are delighted that this site is finally being improved, we have written to object to a proposed alternative scheme with a 23 storey tower above ground level which would be much taller than anything else around: they should build what they already have permission for.

Focus on Paddington Street Gardens

Focus in Marylebone on Paddington Street Gardens

Saturday, 27 May, 2023

In Marylebone, there is a misunderstanding regarding who has the ultimate say about what takes place in Paddington Street Gardens.

Most people believe that it is the Council who has responsibility for this area, and are unaware of the Church’s role.
