Rachael Robathan has been a ward councillor for Knightsbridge & Belgravia since 2010 and was the Leader of the Council from January 2020 till May 2022. Before becoming Leader, Rachael was a Cabinet Member for eight years holding the Adult Social Care & Public Health, Housing and Finance portfolios. 

Her previous career was in the City where she was an emerging markets fund manager for over 20 years. Rachael and her husband have lived in Westminster for over thirty years and have two children in their early twenties.

For some time residents in Knightsbridge and Belgravia and the Knightsbridge Association have been raising concerns about the length of time the scaffolding was in place around this site and the advertising screen erected on it.

Maypole Dancing at St Barnabas School

As in previous years, a maypole was erected in Knightsbridge and Belgravia, Orange Square for the St Barnabas School annual celebrations to celebrate St Barnabas.

The crowd was treated to maypole dancing, singing and musical performances by the children.

New Grosvenor Crescent public space

In Knightsbridge and Belgravia a new public realm space is rapidly taking shape on Grosvenor Crescent. Secured by condition as part of the refurbishment of Forbes House on Halkin Street, this area has bench seating and a water fountain, perfect for refilling water bottles.

Thank you to all of those residents who attended the Knightsbridge and Belgravia Councillors' two most recent street surgeries on Gatliff Road and Ebury Square.

The following week, 24 May, we will be in Ebury Square, adjacent to Fountain Court, at 2 pm.
