Dealing with fly tipping, street furniture damage and more

Councillor Antonia Cox reports:

Our City Inspector John Whelan does such a good job tackling black bin overflow, fly tipping hot spots, rough sleepers’ waste and the rest that I’d like to broadcast his report this month.

Rubbish left at bin sites

We've had a number of reports from residents and have seen as we've walked about the ward a number of waste and recycling sites with dumped rubbish around them. We've reported them into the waste team quickly and they usually get cleared up swiftly.

Rise in burglaries in the local area

There has been a recent spate of burglaries in Bayswater. Over August and September there were 23 reported burglaries in our area.

Notting Hill Carnival cleanup

​We spoke to a number of residents on Moorhouse Road and Northumberland following the Notting Hill Carnival. A consistent theme was the length of time it took to clean up their street and front gardens after the Notting Hill Carnival.
