Pedicabs

Within the powers it has, Conservative-led Westminster City Council is doing all it can to limit the impact of anti-social pedicabs.

Last month, officers from the Council teamed up with local police on an operation to tackle some of the drivers that cause the most disruption.

As a result of the operation, across Soho, Covent Garden, Oxford Street, Leicester Square, 6 riders are facing prosecution for playing amplified music after 9pm, 23 warnings were issued for anti-social behaviour.

However, until pedicabs require a license the Council and the police can do little more to tackle pedicabs anti-social behaviour. In the meantime, the Council will be repeating the operation with the police to do want they can to limit anti-social behaviour.
