For some time residents in Knightsbridge and Belgravia and the Knightsbridge Association have been raising concerns about the length of time the scaffolding was in place around this site and the advertising screen erected on it.
Following a meeting with Cllr Robathan and local stakeholders and after extensive work by our ward planning enforcement officer, a timetable was agreed and the scaffolding and advertising has now been completely dismantled.
Cllr Robathan commented:
‘Of course scaffolding needs to be in place for building works to be carried out safely but five years is too long and the scaffolding and advertising was impacting on local residents’ amenity and the architectural integrity of the area. I’m delighted that this has now been fully dismantled and this corner of Knightsbridge can return to normal.’
