A co-op in Regents Park

We have all read about shoplifting becoming an issue nationally. Unfortunately, we have not been unaffected here in St John’s Wood and North Marylebone.

The two Co-op convenience stores in the south of the ward have been targeted, with staff threatened and frequently subjected to intimidating behaviour.

Cllr Rigby has been working with the local police and the management of the Co-op stores to put in place measures to tackle this, including greater use of CCTV, regular police patrols and more product protection measures to deter thefts. Shoplifting is wholly unacceptable, and we hope these measures will help to reduce this behaviour.
