Councillor for Regent's Park Ward

Ralu describes herself as ‘Child of Westminster’; having been born in St Marys Hospital, Paddington and lived in Maida Vale and Little Venice, W9 for nearly all her life

She has been involved heavily with local politics for over 2 decades since she was a young girl; campaigning mainly in Westminster North Constituency but regularly supporting Councillors across the borough.

Honoured to be elected as the Member for Regents Park ward; her main goal is ‘to be a visible and accessible presence for all her residents, to support them whilst maintaining the distinctive ‘character and community’ of the unique and iconic part of London she represents. 

Ralu is an advocate for various issues and aims to positively influence decisions that will help improve the well-being of her residents.

Outside of politics, Ralu is a young professional currently working in Quality Assurance within the engineering sector. She enjoys spending time at home, with friends and also curling up with a good book; Ralu also runs the Altar service at her Church; St Saviours, Warwick Avenue.

Watching out for fraud & bike theft

No one wants to be the victim of crime especially financial fraud, so it was good to see the local police safer neighbourhood team (SNT) out in the community offering valuable advice to local people on tips to protect against fraud as well as bike theft.

Senseless Thugs have vandalised a beautiful fountain located at the junction of Allsop Place and Park Road. 

The incident at the water fountain, which took many years to renovate and bring back to life was reported to us by residents in Chalfont Court located next to it.

Several residents living in Queen's Grove contacted your local councillors about a gazebo canopy which had been erected outside a dentist practice.

Last week saw the highest single degree of senseless graffiti when one road (Park Road) within the ward was targeted with street signs, a telephone box, waste bins and a bus shelter all hit.

Graffiti removed

No one likes to see graffiti on our streets as it is unsightly and attracts unnecessary attention. Recently your local Councillors noticed graffiti had been sprayed on a street sign on Dorset Square and an electric box in Baker Street,  both were removed within a few days of notification.
