It is now three months since Westminster City Council introduced food waste recycling across the City as they are required to do by the Government.
Knightsbridge and Belgravia Councillors want to know how this is working for you? Across Knightsbridge & Belgravia there are a mixture of options available.
If you live on certain streets, a weekly collection from your doorstep is offered and you should have received your food waste caddy and information about this.
For mansion blocks it is a mixed picture - we have been in touch with many managing agents and property managers and either it has been introduced or refused. Finally, for those not with a doorstep collection or access within their block, the Council has one communal neighbourhood bin site which is in Ebury Square in the Southern part of Belgravia. Clearly this is not enough so we are interested to hear suggestions for where you would like a bin to be placed.
Let us know:
- Have you been provided with the information you need?
- Do you live in a block which doesn’t offer the service but you would like it to?
- If you would use a communal big bin, where would you suggest it be sited?
Please email us with any feedback so that we can press for the changes which will make recycling a convenient and easy option for everyone locally.
Alternatively, if you have any questions about the service you should email the Council.
