A burst water main on Park Road meant this major strategic road had to be closed at the end of September for emergency works by Thames Water.
The break in the mains occurred between Lodge Road and Hanover Gate, and several voids collapsed within the carriageway. It resulted in traffic being diverted along Rossmore Road, Lisson Grove, and St John’s Wood Terrace.
Your local councillors worked with Thames Water, Transport for London (TfL) given Park Road is a TfL-managed road, and Westminster Council highways officers to have these works finished as quickly as possible, but despite our best efforts these works took longer to complete given the severity of the problems.
